The world has never been more in need of peace than it is now. How can we experience peace in our lives and share it with others? Where do we start?
Join us for a special community celebration of Winter Solstice and the last Full Moon of the year. We’re bringing together our yoga family to explore peace, celebrate the wealth of kindness and activism in our community, and raise funds for a good cause.
100% of your registration payment goes to The Period Purse, a non-profit organization that provides marginalized menstruators with access to free menstrual products.
“It was so nice to get the purse when I first came to the shelter. Receiving free pads and tampons makes me know that someone out there cares about me and my health.” – Dianne
Space is limited, make sure to register below to save your spot.

Kundalini Winter Solstice Celebration
2:00 – 4:30 pm
Join Krista Schilter and Bir Kaur for a unique Kundalini Yoga experience centred around winter solstice and the last full moon of the year. The afternoon will include a short, meditative warm up, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to help us embrace and cultivate inner peace, and an opportunity for reflective journaling and sharing within a group circle. No prior experience is required, all are welcome.
Restorative Yoga with Gong and Full Moon Meditation
6:30 – 8:30 pm
To bring peace into the world, we first need to feel secure and solid in our own body. During this class Elizabeth Ewanchuk will guide us into grounding postures to help open our hearts and higher selves to others. Plus, Elizabeth and Nathalie Arostegui will offer nourishing, gentle hands-on massage to support your body to soften and release deeply. How awesome is that?
Joanna Baron will close the evening by leading us in an extended gong relaxation and a 31-minute Kundalini mantra meditation that is specifically given for the full moon. No prior experience is required, all are welcome.
Optional: Bring a Donation of Menstrual Products
All monetary contributions for solstice events will go directly to The Period Purse to buy menstrual products for those in need. However, we also welcome physical products in addition to your money. For every package of Always or Tampax you donate, those companies will MATCH that. You are also welcome to bring unopened packages of other brands.
Volunteer With Us
Want to help out? We’re looking for volunteers to help us welcome arrivals, set up, and clean up throughout the afternoon and evening. Please email Elizabeth to inquire, firstname.lastname@example.org.
