The first three chakras (aka the lower triangle) are affected the most by present traumatic events. Destabilized external environments make us more vulnerable and often trigger our inner “Pain Body”, which is an accumulation of past traumatic experiences. The first three chakras are also where the past traumas are imprinted.
We will use Kundalini yoga practices to balance the root chakra and use its energy to regain feeling of safety and security. Balancing the second chakra will help regain passion for life, creativity and self-respect. Working with the energy of Manipura, the third chakra, helps to break through self-limiting beliefs; in a balanced state it strengthens will power, commitment and self-worth. A strong and balanced lower triangle is like a spring-board to our well being.
This workshop is offered virtually, over Zoom. Wear comfortable clothing and have a rug or yoga mat to practice on, as well as a cushion for sitting.
The year 2020 brought events that deeply challenged all of us on many levels. For many of us, feeling safe and secure is harder to attain and familiar comfort zones don’t seem to be working. Isolation and prolonged stress keep de-stabilizing us. This new reality can be a fertile ground for breeding strong negative emotions; they can take over and may be hard to shake off. Living with fear, anger, disappointment or regret is very draining, and we are left with less inner energy to bring ourselves back to peace and balance. This workshop is part of a 3-part series where we will explore yogic teachings about the energy of each chakra and how we can clear and re-balance them with yoga. One of the most direct ways is to use Kundalini Yoga techniques that stimulate the nervous and glandular systems to alter negative patterns and attain new energy balance.
