When external events overwhelm us and fear creeps in, we need to go deeply within and connect with our heart where the treasure of Love lives. “Love has already won” is one of Mary Magdalene’s teachings found in her gospel discovered in ancient scriptures hidden in Egypt.
When a present time fear and a sense of hopelessness prevail, we may become prone to relive difficult experiences from the past, which left an imprint in our heart chakra. These may deepen our present feelings of sadness, grief, loneliness, and a persisting lack of joy. We will use specific yoga practices for the 4th chakra to untie the energy knots formed by painful events, past and present. Many of you have experienced this already in yoga classes – the sensations of opening, clearing, lifting, flow, a new lightness.
We will reflect and focus on changes to be made so that we can fully connect with the treasure in our Heart, with our True Self and our innate sense of Joy.
This workshop is offered virtually, over Zoom. Wear comfortable clothing and have a rug or yoga mat to practice on, as well as a cushion for sitting.
The year 2020 brought events that deeply challenged all of us on many levels. For many of us, feeling safe and secure is harder to attain and familiar comfort zones don’t seem to be working. Isolation and prolonged stress keep de-stabilizing us. This new reality can be a fertile ground for breeding strong negative emotions; they can take over and may be hard to shake off. Living with fear, anger, disappointment or regret is very draining, and we are left with less inner energy to bring ourselves back to peace and balance. This workshop is part of a 3-part series where we will explore yogic teachings about the energy of each chakra and how we can clear and re-balance them with yoga. One of the most direct ways is to use Kundalini Yoga techniques that stimulate the nervous and glandular systems to alter negative patterns and attain new energy balance.
