The brain tries so hard to heal the heart. What if the heart could heal the brain? What if the body could bring us deeper understanding of ourselves in ways the mind alone cannot comprehend?
This class offers an exploration of remembering the ways we are able to heal from the roots up; the body, the breath and all systems in between first, in order to bring more light, more clarity up to the mind. Over 8 Saturday afternoons through the summer, we will work our way up the body exploring the holistic connections between our physical parts, breath, and our mental experience.
Each class includes a Kundalini breath exercise, yoga set, and mantra meditation focused on that week’s area of the body, and the aspects of our psyche that it connects to. Join us to put trust back into the body. For when we take care of our body, our body takes care of us.

Renelyn Quinicot is a queer Filipinx artist and space holder to community gatherings that foster vulnerability as a point of connection and self-care. Kundalini Yoga is a method of tools that Renelyn looks to as a way to deepen her relationship with her WHOLE self – Mind, Body, Soul. In slowness and subtlety, Kundalini has become one of Renelyn’s main forms of healing as it allows her to confront her traumas, suppressed emotions and inner workings for empowerment with tenderness and a heightened awareness of her own uniqueness, and that of others.
Renelyn is passionate about bridging others back home into themselves. She is especially adamant on fostering a safe, anti-oppressive space that welcomes Indigenous, Black and People of Colour, Queer, Trans and 2-spirited folx of all sizes and abilities. When she is not teaching Kundalini, she teaches a fusion style of Yoga-Dance-Pilates called the Misfits Method at MISFITS Studio.
