Are you negatively impacted by stress or burnout? You can try to hide it, cope with it, and hope it somehow goes away if you ignore it long enough, but it’s still there – destroying your health, moods and relationships. Trust me I know, I’ve been there.
The good news is that you can take back control over your body’s outdated stress response and the elaborate stories looping in your mind before they lead to burnout. In this workshop, you will learn practical yogic tools that will bring your nervous system back into balance and allow you to manage stress so that you can be healthy, happy, and peaceful. Join me to:
- Understand what stress is and how our body is programmed to respond automatically
- Identify symptoms of burnout and how to prevent this from happening
- Learn to feel into the body during a stress response and avoid getting hijacked
- Learn common coping mechanisms and identify your own
- Learn practical breathwork and meditation techniques that balance the nervous system and neutralize the stress response in 3-11 minutes
We will end with a deep relaxation, supported by the playing of Tibetan Singing Bowls, which stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.
You will go home with a meditation worksheet, so you can track your personal progress with the tools you learn in class.
All are welcome, no particular physical fitness level or previous experience with Kundalini Yoga is required.

About the Teacher
Izabella Sokolowska began her journey with Kundalini Yoga in Hawaii three years ago, returning to Toronto to train under Sat Dharam Kaur. This decision came hand in hand with the experience of burnout from her corporate gig, which was a blessing in disguise as it brought her closer to yoga. She’s spent the last two years studying the somatic experience and release of trauma as well as stress management using mindfulness, sound, and vedic practices. In 2019 she travelled to India to study Hatha, Ashtanga, Advaita Vedanta, Vedic Mantra, and Sound Healing using Tibetan Singing Bowls.
Using a light hearted and humorous approach, Izabella brilliantly teaches how the mechanisms in our body are constantly running and how we can equip ourselves with the right tools to not be subjected to our body’s outdated auto pilot, and instead live healthy, joyful and balanced lives. She encourages her students to connect with their power, reminding them that how we show up for life can be a choice. Off the mat you can catch her planning the next surf trip and dancing her heart out.
