In Late Summer crops mature and offer us their bountiful harvest to nourish us deeply. We enjoy warm days and cool evenings that are a welcome relief from the blazing heat of Summer. It’s an in-between time: not quite Summer, yet also not Autumn. According to the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Earth Phase is also the season to focus on feeling abundant and nurtured.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use the grounding influence of Late Summer to create stability in your life and expand your self-love. The practice will include:
- A meditative pranayam to overcome self-animosity and to support your true, core self.
- A restorative yoga sequence to nourish the spleen and stomach.
- Wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine regarding the season, your body and your emotions.
- Gong healing throughout the yoga practice.
- Gentle Thai massage adjustments to encourage your body to soften.
You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of how to integrate the strong foundation of the Earth Phase to align yourself more deeply with your true potential; access your internal source of abundant nourishment to nurture yourself; develop a deeper sense of love and appreciation for your body; experience more satisfaction and gratitude in your daily life; minimize obsessive worrying; and incorporate practical lifestyle modifications to support your soul’s maturation. You’ll receive a written Traditional Chinese Medicine guide to add to your self-care toolbox in the coming months.
This is the final in a series of seasonal workshops focussed on supporting your well-being by building an awareness of the relationship between seasonal changes, your emotions, lifestyle and health. No previous yoga experience is required. All are welcome.
