The Body as an Instrument

with Annie Keshisian, Barb McIntosh and S.A. Bliss (Amardeep)

Gurushabd Khalsa Expired Workshops

Your voice, your body, and your internal hum effects your experience and all those around you. Gong Master Don Conreaux says, “You are a Gong! I am a Gong”. We are instruments.

How do we use our body and our voice as an instrument of transformation? How do we transform our relationship to external instruments such as drums? Come and be playful and find out! Join Amardeep, Annie, and Barb for this exploration into vibrations, resonances, and subtleties.

Amardeep leads you in:

  • Exploring your internal hum of healing and tuning up each chakra with different notes on the Shruti box
  • Moving energy with a short series of physical exercises – Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance

Annie leads you in:

  • Vibrating and clearing stagnant energy in the body with tuning forks, tuned to planetary resonances or hertz (Hz)
  • Components of sacred geometry for healing and daily living

Barb leads you in:

  • Playing sacred sound instruments, including bowls, for relaxation and healing
  • Intuitive playing with drums – freeing your body’s own rhythms

After our playful learnings, we will chant together, vibrating the skull as a gong with the mantra Ong (infinite creative energy), and then release and relax in a multiple gong, extended Gong Bath. To complete our vibratory experience, we will meditate with the mantra Ang Sang Wahe Guru, invoking the ecstasy of the Universe vibrating in every cell of the body. We will finish our experience with a silent meditation.

Annie Keshishian (Arjan Priya) is a Reiki Master, certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga, Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, therapeutic Yoga Nidra & Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance by Gong Master Don Conreaux. She immerses herself in the world of Sacred Sound Healing by playing the gong, wind chimes, singing bowls, tuning forks, shruti box and shamanic drums. She strongly believes that the divine frequency of sacred sound combined with the powerful energy of Kundalini Yoga heals the mind, body and soul. She feels a strong connection to all beings in this vast universe and is honoured to be a channel for the teachings of Kundalini Yoga & Sacred Sound to be passed on to the community.

Barb McIntosh is a skilled Energy and Sound Practitioner, whose work is informed by years of intensive study and exploration of many spiritual traditions and vibrational healing practices. Her public and private Sound Baths combine powerful Gongs, ancient Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, drums, and other harmonic instruments into beautiful music, which relaxes and balances your mind, body and soul. Barb also offers individual sessions for Charka Balancing and for Deep Healing using ancient Tibetan healing practices and sacred instruments. Barb is most passionate about supporting people in tapping into their own personal gifts and energetic well-being. “I believe in the power of music to move people, the power of sound and vibration to calm and soothe, and the power of love to heal.” – Barb
