Attune to Heart Consciousness

Workshop with Dharm Kaur
Saturday, September 14th, 1:00-3:30pm
“Attune to Heart Consciousness”
Human heart is magical; the heart is mystical. Sages and mystics teach that the heart is where the Soul lives.

Yogic teachings ask us to move from the head to the heart, the place where our Essence is.
The heart is the centre of our being and in its natural state is the source of the most precious, healing energy – the energy of Love. Joy, tenderness, warmth, all emanate from the heart, and the virtues of compassion, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, patience, and deep understanding of others come from the heart centre.

An open heart is a state of Being and allowing Life to flow through us.

However, staying in such a state of being is not easy in this modern age we live in. The outside world often overwhelms us and the inner world gets clouded by the mind’s habitual reactions of spinning thoughts and negative emotions that overtake us. This is exactly when we need to go deeply within, and connect with the heart.

We must learn a new habit of cultivating inner awareness and a constant coming back to the heart. We need to learn to rely on our heart, on its intelligence. We need to learn to attune to heart consciousness where the treasures of Light and Love can be found.

In this workshop we will explore yogic practices to learn inner awareness, we will reflect on sources of inner darkness and will use Kundalini Yoga practices to lighten and connect to our hearts.

Dharm Kaur has been practicing Kundalini Yoga for over 30 years. Dharm is now a Kundalini Yoga teacher, a teacher trainer and the ‘Beyond Addiction Yogic Path to Recovery’ program trainer. Her calling always has always been to share the teachings with those needing them the most: under-privileged populations, homeless youth and people recovering from addictions.
Dharm loves traveling and learning from various traditions. She lived in Nova Scotia and studied with Buddhists; her travels to India turned into deep spiritual journeys. Experiencing the energy of old holy places, the pujas, rituals and blessings at monasteries and ashrams enriched her own spiritual path.

Dharm loves family time with her twins, Joseph and Zofia, and enjoys nature. In the summer, she recharges with Kundalini Yoga practice by the water; she loves winter walks or cuddling with her cat and reading.

In her warm classes, Dharm encourages students to trust their inner guidance, open their hearts, experience the vastness of their Spirit and the sweetness of connection with the Infinite within.
