Anxiety can be experienced in a variety of ways and intensities. Anxiety has been present in my life since I was a child. Sometimes experienced as tightness in the chest and difficulty breathing while other times experienced as feelings of intense overwhelm and paralysis. I have learned and developed powerful ways to communicate with, understand, and shift the energy of anxiety into connection with my own soul. Each time I work with anxiety, it is clear that it comes with a message, a message that is guiding me to greater growth and alignment.
In this workshop, we will use reflection, discussion, affirmations, and Kundalini kriya and meditation to delve underneath the symptoms of anxiety and open up to its message. You will receive tools you can take home and put to use in your day to day life to shift from anxiety to alignment and live in greater connection with your radiant, creative, and all-knowing essence!
Please bring along something to write with. All are welcome, no previous experience is required. Space is limited, please register in advance to save your spot.

About the Teacher
Shivalee Paliwal spent most of her years as a classic type A personality – always on the go, filled with a sense of urgency, and looking for the next thing to tackle. Her lifestyle lacked balance and consequently impacted her health and well-being. Being of Indian descent and having been exposed to yoga growing up, she had a natural affinity to the practice and philosophy. Shivalee describes yoga as her ‘self-healing toolbox’ which allows her to continue to keep up and engage fully with life’s excitement and challenges while also building a strong, healthy, and balanced self.
Shivalee holds her certification to teach Kundalini Yoga, has over 10 years of experience teaching classical and contemporary dance, holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, is an honours mathematics major, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and is trained and experienced in adult education.
