with Gurushabd Khalsa, November 2017
Mondays: 6:00-7:15 pm with gong relaxation
Fridays: 12:00-1:00 pm
“Love is a creative energy, an experience of one’s Self within oneself.”
– Yogi Bhajan
Raise your voice, sing from your heart, and experience the wonderful variety and depth of mantras from the Kundalini tradition. Through repeating a sound or word over and over again, mantra is a tool to help us become totally immersed in the present moment.
Each class starts with a breathing exercise and movements to warm up the body. Then we learn a new mantra, explore its meaning, and sing ourselves into meditative bliss with a 31-minute mantra meditation.
For all of November 2017, we’ll focus on mantras that direct love towards ourselves, healing depression and easing loneliness. Join us for the full month to weave the energy of self-love into your life. Or join us for a single class to take home a mantra for personal practice!
You may drop-in or sign up online. Use your regular Lotus class pass.

About the Teacher
Gurushabd Khalsa teaches classes with a smooth flowing rhythm, and she shares the truly transformational techniques of Kundalini Yoga in a simple, accessible, and profound way with whoever walks through the door.
Gurushabd’s name means ‘the sound that cuts through the ego and brings you back to your Self’. She’s on a journey to unfurl the meaning of her name and get closer to the silent sound within.
When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, Gurushabd is directing the studio and connecting with students. In her down time, Gurushabd can be found biking around the city, playing ultimate frisbee, meditating, and hanging out with her husband Nash.
