Come out for a night of Kirtan, where we’ll share devotional songs from both Gurmukhi and Sanskrit. Chanting mantras helps to free our minds from busy states. Tie the mind to any ritual repetition, as we do in repeating mantras, and you can find yourself feeling elevated, yet deeply connected to self and others in community.
Chanting these sacred mantras helps us grow and develop into more compassionate, grateful, accepting and loving humans.
We’ll be led by Susan Hirst (lead singer), Leslie McAfee (backing vocals), Mark Mazur (tabla), and Lang Baker (sitar/guitar). Come to actively chant with us or just enjoy being silent while taking in the mantras and sounds. No previous experience is necessary.
