Chakra Series

Join Gurunam Kaur to explore your chakras (energy centres) through weekly Kundalini Yoga classes. Each month, we’ll explore a new chakra, and share meditations you can practice at home. Classes include warm-ups, breathing techniques (pranayam), an exercise set (kriya), deep relaxation, chanting, and meditation.

No yoga or meditation experience is necessary. Attend the whole series for a serious exploration of the chakras, or drop-in to individual classes as you like. Please arrive 10 minutes before class begins to get settled and check-in.

First Chakra Series

Jan 5th-26th (4 Classes)
Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm
The first chakra is where we are in touch with our most basic needs (both materially and financially), our roots, and our connection to mother earth. Join us for classes themed around supporting your commitments to yourself and others, releasing any impeding habits, and integrating new patterns that are stable, healthy and grounded.

Second Chakra Series

Feb 2nd, 9th, & 23rd (3 Classes)
Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm
The second chakra is where we are in touch with our creativity, our feelings and emotions, and our sexuality. Join us for classes themed around supporting your creativity, tuning into your feelings, and supporting big shifts that may be happening in your life.

Third Chakra Series

March 2nd, 16th, 23rd, & 30th (4 Classes)
Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm
The third chakra represents the fire element in us. Located at the navel centre, the energy here is concerned with identity, domain, and judgement. Join us for classes to tap into your sense of self, strengthen your abdominal muscles, and awaken your courage.

Pricing & Registration

Attend classes at our regular class rates, with the option of signing up online or dropping in and registering with the teacher in person.

About the Teacher

Gurunam Khalsa began her journey with Kundalini Yoga in Toronto way back in 1972. She moved to Vancouver in 1973, living in Guru Ram Das Ashram. She studied personally with Yogi Bhajan and began teaching in 1973. She has taught public, corporate and private yoga classes and meditation. She is a KRI level 2 certified Teacher.

In her classes, Gurunam focuses on creating a deep space within each of us to access our vitality and reduce feelings of stress in our lives. In her own experience, practising Kundalini Yoga and meditation can have immediate effects in creating a feeling of well being and renewed energy.
