Free Yourself: Feb 2018 4-Class Series

Mondays, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, with Dharm Kaur, Feb 5, 12, 19, 26
Wednesdays, 12:00 – 1:30 pm, with Nirmal Singh, Feb 7, 14, 21, 28

Weekly classes use Kundalini Yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, and self-reflection to recognize our reactions, shift into awareness and take responsibility for the present. We learn to become observers of our mental patterning that impedes our growth, healing and happiness. We learn how to tap into our neutral mind and connect with our intuition. We discover ways to create new, promoting habits. We learn about karma, and how to move to Dharma, the path of right living.

Class Themes:

Class 1: Act, Don’t React: I take control over my reactions to people and events. I gracefully receive the energy of the Divine floating around me.
Class 2: Happiness is My Birthright: I clear my subconscious to become neutral. Through commitment, discipline and the power to sacrifice, I achieve happiness.
Class 3: I Create My Habits, My Habits Create Me: I promote habits that serve my destiny.
Class 4: I Choose Dharma Over Karma.

About the Teachers

Dharm Kaur (Ela Bielski) has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 1991. She was fortunate to meet Yogi Bhajan in 1997 and take the Master’s Touch Teacher Training him. Studying at the feet of the master transformed her life. She is now KRI certified Level 1 and 2 Kundalini Yoga teacher.

Dharm’s calling has always been to provide these sacred teachings to those who need them the most – for many years teaching by-donation community classes at the Howard Park United Church and volunteering for women breaking from addictions and for homeless youth. For the last five years Dharm’s focus has been on teaching at the Jean Tweed Centre and at the Covenant House – seeing positive uplifting impact on women in residential programs as well as on street kids sheltered by Covenant House keeps enriching her heart. Presently Dharm Kaur’s goal is to become a trainer for the Beyond Addiction Recovery program.

Nirmal Singh is a lead Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer, and mentors with Sat Dharam Kaur in her “Beyond Addiction: The Yogic Path to Recovery” training program. Nirmal has co-facilitated this program in Toronto, Owen Sound, Guelph and Peru, and teaches “Beyond Addiction Community Support Program” classes in Toronto. Nirmal owns and operates The Wellness Path which produces Kundalini Yoga related programs including sacred chant concerts, the White Tantric Yoga meditation course, Level One and Two Kundalini Yoga teacher training, retreats and other programs by internationally renowned teachers.
